Appointment Information
Consultations are provided by General Practitioners and Nurse Practitioners, and are strictly by appointment only, which can be made by telephone or at the reception desk. We offer 10-minute appointments however patients who have a number of issues to discuss are advised to book a double appointment. The surgery is also pleased to offer telephone consultations for your convenience.
At the moment, due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, all appointments with doctors will be via the telephone and should the doctor/advanced nurse practitioner wish to see you for a face-to-face appointment they will book this themselves.
You now also have the convenience of being able to register for Patient Access Services which allows you to book routine/pre-bookable appointments online with our doctors/advanced nurse practitioner. The registration process is easy, and you will be required to provide acceptable ID when applying for this service.
To See the Doctor/Nurse Practitioner
You are able to book up to four weeks in advance for a doctor’s appointment. We save a proportion of appointments for on-the-day booking, which are available by telephone or by online services from 08:00 Monday to Friday.
Every effort will be made to ensure a doctor sees you on the day of your choice although this cannot be guaranteed.
To See the Nurse
Nurse appointments can also be booked up to three weeks in advance. To enable the nurse to prepare for your appointment it is helpful if you can let a receptionist know why you are coming in.
We understand that this won’t always be possible.
Cancellations

Non-attendance for appointments is a persistent problem and increases the wait to see the doctor/nurse. If you no longer require your appointment please cancel in good time, as this will allow someone else to see a doctor/nurse that day.
Failure to attend a booked appointment on more than three occasions within one year may lead to removal of your name from the list. Please be punctual for your appointment. If you are more than 9 minutes late the doctor reserves the right to ask you to re-book.
